Recreation
Properties and Vehicles
Once the kids are gone many of us decide to indulge our
hobbies and interest, whether this means buying a
cottage, traveling in an RV, or purchasing and restoring
an antique vehicle. Specific coverage is available for
all of these hobbies. See our recreational vehicles
section for more details of the coverages available.
Often the hobbies will also change the way that you use
your principle residence and vehicles – for example
visiting a recreational property in the winter, may mean
your principle residence is left unattended. Special
arrangements must be made to ensure that your coverage
will continue while you are away. Similarly, if you
leave the vehicles behind, you may wish to arrange
coverage in such a way that you can save money, while
still providing some basic coverage for the vehicle and
if required, for yourself while driving rental vehicles,
or if you are involved in an auto accident as a
passenger or a
pedestrian.
