Moving Out
Once you have decided to get a place of your own, your
insurance needs may change. Previously you could have been an
additional driver on your parents policy – now if you
are getting your own car, you may need to arrange
insurance in your own name. At the same time if you are
a renter, your landlord may require you to carry tenants
insurance – this would protect your possessions, as well
as giving you liability coverage in case you are held
responsible for any damage to the unit that you rent.
