WITNESSES: Get names, addresses and phone numbers of any witnesses.
Water claims are often the most damaging property claims. If you have a water claim the most important thing to do is to stop the water. Then clean up the water and dry it out as soon as possible (to prevent the possibility of mould developing). Call a plumber if need be or a restoration company for assistance if needed.
All other property claims should be handled with the same care, secure premises, call required services to do this, as well as the police if necessary.
